In Shallow Pond, you play Ripples, a tiny creature in a diving suit, setting off on a gentle but mysterious journey beyond the pond. Swim like a penguin, bounce through mossy ruins, and explore a world brimming with strange creatures, hidden places, and quiet wonder.

Levels are vivid, handcrafted mini-sandboxes where land and water flow naturally together. You’ll glide through currents, leap across gaps, and combine movement skills for smooth, satisfying traversal. Exploration is playful and rewarding, encouraging you to experiment and uncover secrets tucked behind waterfalls, tucked in reeds, or buried beneath shifting sands.

As you progress, you’ll unlock water-powered abilities like the Water Dash and Water Stomp – momentum-based tools that consume water and refill when you return to it. These powers open new paths, activate pressure switches, break barriers, and deepen the sense of discovery.

Alongside a mysterious companion, you’ll drift through lush meadows, shimmering caves, and sun-dappled lakes—chasing a memory, a feeling, and something quietly meaningful waiting at the journey’s end.

Shallow Pond is the heartfelt project of Nimso (Oswin Neumann), a one‑person indie studio.

With 20 years in the games industry, Nimso has contributed animation and art to dozens of titles, including The Cropout Sample Project for Epic Games, Enshrouded by Keen Games, and The Settlers 7 from Ubisoft Blue Byte.
